Getting testing access
DraftWave is in internal testing. Email support to request an invitation. A public Play Store download is not available from this website. Android 12 or later is required.

DraftWave for Android · Enhanced Flow and local-model help
Choose a voice source
Open Settings → Listening. Downloaded models currently support English. Android on-device language availability depends on the recognizer installed on your phone. Optional OpenAI transcription requires your own API key and is billed separately from ChatGPT.
Preparing or reconnecting
The microphone is not ready while Preparing or Reconnecting is shown. Wait for Listening before continuing. Finish waits for the last words before Review opens; Cancel stops the attempt and preserves the existing draft.
A note cannot be loaded or saved
Keep the app data intact. Use Retry and check free storage. DraftWave blocks further writes if existing encrypted Notes cannot be read; it does not replace unreadable notes with an empty notebook. Clearing app data or uninstalling can permanently remove Notes and their encryption key.
The field bubble does not appear
Open DraftWave once, review the Enhanced Flow disclosure, enable its Accessibility Service, then focus a normal editable field. The bubble stays hidden on the lock screen, in detected sensitive fields, and in blocked apps.
The bubble is covering something
Drag the idle bubble along either screen edge. DraftWave remembers its relative position and moves it away from the focused field and keyboard when Android provides reliable bounds.
My keyboard changed
DraftWave is not an input method and never replaces your keyboard. Select Gboard, Samsung Keyboard, SwiftKey, or your preferred keyboard normally in Android Settings.
I already typed part of the message
Keep the field focused and start DraftWave normally. DraftWave preserves existing text and inserts approved dictation at the current cursor. If the target app changes or removes the selection, refocus the intended field and try again.
The bubble opens DraftWave
The bubble keeps missing-microphone recovery beside the current field. Tap Set up only when you want to open the guided permission flow. If the app opens immediately, confirm that you are running the latest internal-test build.
A local model is downloading
Keep DraftWave open to see the current file, percentage, and transferred size. You can pause and resume. An interrupted partial download is retained for safe resumption and verified before loading.
The app closed during a model download
Reopen DraftWave and return to Settings → More settings → Local models. DraftWave keeps a verified partial download for resumption. If it repeatedly fails, check free storage, restart the phone, then repair or delete the partial model.
The model will not load
Open Settings → More settings → Local models, choose Verify, and repair or delete the model if validation fails. Confirm that adequate storage and RAM are available for the selected tier.
Notes and export
Notes are encrypted locally, excluded from Android backup, and never uploaded by DraftWave. Search, rendered blocks, slash commands, in-note dictation, and autosave all run on the device. The editor reports Saving, Saved, or a save error. You can export a note as Markdown or text to a location you choose; exported files are outside DraftWave’s encrypted storage.
Screenshots are blocked
This is the privacy default. Open Settings → Privacy & data → Allow screenshots and accept the warning. Another app may still enforce its own screenshot policy.
Insert is unavailable
DraftWave blocks insertion when the field changed, became sensitive, belongs to an excluded app, or lost focus. Return to the intended non-sensitive field and try again, or use explicit Copy.

During internal testing, report the device model, Android version, DraftWave version, selected speech provider, and steps to reproduce. Never include dictated text, audio, API keys, passwords, OTPs, or screenshots containing sensitive information.
